Since opening in 1995, Vinomania has introduced Albertans to some of the best wines in the world.  Our motto "great wine made easy" simply reflects what we've been about since day one - making wine accessible, demystifying it, getting rid of the pretense, and giving you the opportunity to access the best wines in the world.  Through our relationships with small independent wineries around the globe, we continue to offer unique and distinct wines of value that reflect their regions and convey a sense of place.  You may not have heard of all of them, but their quality will blow you away.

Our  Vinomaniacs are also passionate about craft beers, delicious single malt scotch, small batch bourbon, great grappa, killer gin, and so much more.

Owner Gurvinder Bhatia left a career in law to pursue his passion for wine and food.  He is the wine columnist for the Edmonton Journal, contributing editor for Tidings (Canada's most widely distributed wine and food publication), an international wine judge, and a wine and food consultant to hundreds of restaurants and corporate clients as well as thousands of wine loving consumers.  Gurvinder was also the wine columnist for CBC Radio for 11 years.  Watch for his new feature, The Grape Escape, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings on Global TV Edmonton.

Gurvinder travels the world in search of quality wines with a sense of place.  He loves bourbon, tequila, great beer and wines so good the only description warranted is "Wow!"
